Why do you want to sue a bankrupted company? How much money can you actually get back from this litigation activity. This is probably a nonevent for the market. I just find it sad for the sueing company...It may look good on the paper seeing that they can get some money back, if they win the lawsuit.

Most likely the amount they can get back will not even cover the cost of lawyer. So why do they bother? Overall the banking industry in the stock market is up a little. But not as much as the technology sector. Good thing that I bought technology stocks. I think in a week or so, I will buy into banking stock shares again.

Good Stock Day for AMD and FFIV

I am quite pleased when I woke up to see my stocks today. Both stocks that I bought went up a healthy 1~2%. Very nice indeed.

I think QUALCOM's earning does boost the stock price all across different sectors in the stock market. Although the AMD and FFIV (F5 Network)'s earning are not at my stock selling point yet, I need to continue to monitor when is the best time to exit my stock market positions.

I think this is really a non event for the stock market. We all kinda know about the raising debts. Although it does not really affect things much. Afterall, the world economy is still mostly tied to the dollar. Government can just "create" money out of thin air and screw all its creditors down the line. I wonder why people even worry about national debts...much ;p

So although this was a yahoo headline news, for the stock market, it's more..just for fun financial news in my opinion.

It seems like this news was the reason for the nice gain in the housing sector on Wednesday. New home sales were up, which boostsed the entire stock market. Good things that I sold my shares!

Great~ Good financial earning from a major tech power house. I hope tomorrow will be great for the technology sector in the stock market. Right now after cutting KBH and getting into F5 network, I am a little tech heavy. I am planning to sell F5 network or AMD shares if they do jump tomorrow. I will see what happens.

After hour stock market price for Qualcomm jumped 6%. Definitely can not buy it at that price.

01/26 Bought KBH and Sold PHM - SkyBlueTrading

01/26 Bough FFIV and Sold KBH - SkyBlueTrading

The housing sector for the stock market did prove pretty well today. So I sold it at some gain. I then used that money to buy into FFIV. It recently had a bad earning time and the investors punished it. I think I may get into the same financial situation as I did w/ AMD but uh. I already executed the stock buying order ><

 I think my price entry point into FF5 Network is a bit high at 109.37. But we will see how it goes~

 As for AMD, I will continue holding the security until it is at a higher level. I do not want to sell it at a huge discount, yet. If the stock market proves me wrong bout it within 3 months or so, I will consider liquidating my position.

 At the time of writing my stock account stands at 10,540. So not too bad.

Hope this will cause a up day tomorrow~ I want my trading account to gain. Then again, politicians just lie ;p. Tomorrow's stock market will vote whether or not they believe anything the president says about spurring the economy. In addition, the Fed's meeting may have an impact on the investing market too!

NVDA - Nvidia's stock price is rising quite a bit today. At my time of writing it's now a 8.41% gain. Man. I want to stop myself from chasing. I think this sudden increase in interest of buying NVDA stock is dangerous for the short term.

I wonder if I will miss the train by not chasing after the stock. The stock price sure is hot right now.

I disagree with this guy. I think more incentives will come as energy prices go up. Silicon solar will continue dropping in the future. Although that will cut into their profit margin. Yet overall I do believe Solar will be a growing industry in the future.

I will still be putting money into solar industry stock market throughout this year. It is still quite risky investment nevertheles for the short term.

I really don't think that the government can do much to stop the unfair practices. Big companies still have the pricing ability over smaller competitors. Isn't that a part of business?

Although it is necessary to avoid Monopoly. I doubt that there's much the FTC can do.

But as a stock trader, Monopoly businesses are almost always good for stock returns. Especially to invest in a starting industry.

Jan. 13: Intel Corp. says net income jumped 48 percent, because of the strong demand on higher profit server chips. I think this is a one time event that will not last long. There will be a time when companies decide that they want to keep their existing hardware instead of dishing more money for that 10% more performance.

Jan. 18: Apple Inc.'s earning jumps too. I also think that it might not last. As more people have Ipods with more fierce competition, I think that their profit will decrease 3~4 year out with more innovative products. I think the current growth is overvalue which assume that apple can grow nonstop...

Jan. 19: EBay Inc. says fourth-quarter revenue rose 5 percent, as the healthy holiday shopping season bolstered growth in its online marketplace and PayPal online payments business.

Jan. 20: Google Inc. earned $2.5 billion during the final three months of 2010, a 29 percent increase from the prior year. Revenue climbed 26 percent to $8.44 billion. Man how much can google make...Is there a cap? I know that google has been pushing very hard for people to use their coupons. I wonder if this improves their buttom line.

Advanced Micro Devices Inc. says fourth-quarter income shrank from a year ago, when a big legal settlement it won from archrival chip maker Intel Corp. pumped up AMD's earnings. I kinda like how AMD is actually being quite conservative for their earning guides. I really do think the market is punishing them for things that they do not deserve. I am holding AMD right now so i might be biased..

I like how they are investing at this financial turmoil time. I think their investment will turn out great. I am currently holding KBH still. Last week was a bit bad for KB homes or the entire housing sector.

However, for the next half of year, I will put my money in the housing segment of the market to see how things will turn out. I think that if any good news come up, people will become more optimistic about the sector which means better prices and profits that come from higher stock prices.
